Over the years, there have been tens of thousands of our HoldingCrosses given in love to someone fighting the disease called cancer.  Both of my grandparents on my mother's side died of cancer.  Several close friends have fought the fight of cancer.  We have literally hundreds of testimonies of how The HoldingCross has made a difference in the journey.

The Lord has put it on our heart to dedicate one of our engraved designs for The HoldingCross to those with cancer.  We consider this cross a precious gift to help encourage and strenthen the fight.  The engraving is simply the Cancer Ribbon logo.

We chose American Soft Maple for our "Cancer" cross.  It is a very hard wood that grows in the Pacific Northwest region of Oregon, Washington and Canada.  It is only slightly softer than the Hard Maple of the East Coast.  When polished it looks like marble or a river rock pebble.  It is creamy in color, smooth and comfortable to hold.

The engraving is on one side with the opposite side having no engraving.  What that means is, if you choose, you can engrave on that side something special or leave it plain.  For any custom engraving, please add “One Side Custom Engraving” to your order.  This will allow you to enter the specifics of the engraving. (Please note there is an additional fee for engraving the back of the cross.)

This HoldingCross comes with a simple yet meaningful card to compliment the cross and the engraving.  The outside of the card has a simple message ... What Cancer Cannot Do ... with a list of twelve precious things cancer cannot take away. The inside left panel of the card has the scripture of Romans 8:35-39 reminding us that nothing can separate us from the love of God.  The inside right panel is blank for your very special message.  Your card is tucked together with  an envelope in a cellophane package to keep the card clean and ready for you.

As with all of our crosses, there were no stains, lacquers or preservatives used to finish your cross; only a natural oil which is hand-rubbed and polished to enhance the woods natural beauty.  When you hold our crosses, you are “feeling” the wood and “seeing” the wood as God created it.  No two are alike as boards will vary in color and graining due the environmental conditions it was produced.  The shine on the cross is related to the amount of “resin” in the make-up of the wood itself.  The more resin the higher the shine.

Crosses are handcrafted in our Palestine, Texas (USA) facility offering the highest quality. Crosses do not require polishing.  Holding your cross will allow the oils from your hands to go into the wood and create a soft, patina glow.  Never use oil or olive oil on our crosses.

Price noted is for 1 HoldingCross including the complimentary NoteCard sharing 10 scriptures related to being Loved.

Thoughts on Engraving : This wood works well with engraving and is a favorite for custom laser engraving as the etching burns into the wood and has a nice contrast to the pale color of this wood.

Each cross comes in an organza bag with a StoryTag telling the name of the wood and a StoryScroll which contains suggested prayers, CareGiving stories and other information.  We do not offer seconds or damaged crosses. Our crosses are all first quality and handcrafted in our shop by our family.

NOTE : The HoldingCross watermark in the picture does not appear on the crosses.  The picture is marked for proprietary reasons.               ------------------

                         ... A HoldingCross Story ...

From one of our customers ... I fought cancer into remission and give glory to God.  My dear friend has been diagnosed with cancer.  I am preparing to give my cross to her as she fights for healing.  I know my cross was like a best friend to me the 2 years in treatment.  I believe holding my cross for so many days and months helped me to be strong.  For that reason, I believe it can help my friend.  I will give it to her at the end of the week.
